D&R Packaging designed this piston filler for a Kombucha company. It is an integrated product conveyor for automatic filling with PLC controlled product gating system- including bottle neck locators, no bottle no-fill detection, and downstream backup interlocking.
This type of project can be customized with various additions or modifications based on your company’s and/or product’s needs. For instance; this system is caster mounted on a portable frame with a conveyor docking station which makes it compact and easy to move.
This whole system is Allen Bradley PLC controlled. The piston filler is a two-head air-operated piston filler with bottom close nozzles and optional diving bridge. There is also the option for an optional steam heated product hopper.
The machine is designed to include a tool-less removable wash down product agitator. It also features a color touch screen HMI for filler and gating interface.
